Shanghai is a mahjong solitaire game that offers a classic and familiar gameplay experience. The primary objective is to remove all matching pairs of tiles from the layout. To successfully eliminate a pair, the tiles must be free on at least one side—either the left or right—and not obstructed from above. In most instances, tiles must be matched exactly to be removed. However, there are two notable exceptions: any two flower tiles or any two season tiles can be paired regardless of their specific types.
